5 New-Season ‘It’ Bags Go For Bold, Graphic Impact

For the new season ahead, keep your most fashionable status symbol at hand.

The new season calls for a bold, graphic statement through your bags. The designers were in unison in making these new ‘It’ bags the star player of your look. Yes, clothes may usually get all the attention, but these just soundly prove that bags can now get their fair share of the limelight.

May it be a white tee-and-jeans kind of day or a daring, statement-making look, these notice-me bags are surefire ways to amp up any look when you need them to.

Loewe V Shoulder Bag

The New V Shoulder cross-body bag is in a shade of high-impact turquoise and done in suede and calf leather. The fold-over flap with a snap fastening makes for fuss-free access. The long chain strap with a yellow geometric extra strap provide easier sling over the shoulder. It would be remiss not to notice the bold combination of yellow and blue here.

Louis Vuitton Twist

The Twist bag gets a new-season iteration every time. For fall, it comes with punches of kaleidoscopic shapes evenly spaced out on the bag’s surface. If you want in on a little secret, this 18 x 13 x 9 (l x h x w)-cm bag is roomier than it looks. The “wave” base provides the extra space needed in this epi leather bag without adding volume on how it looks like on the outside. The convertible silver or golden or silver chain can be worn cross-body or hung casually on the shoulder.

Fendi By The Way Bag

If you’re more of a minimalist,  you can still dabble on the graphic trend with Fendi’s By The Way bag. The geometric detailing over white calf skin leather was inspired by Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp who was famous for her geometric abstraction during the early to mid-20th century. It has an adjustable and detachable shoulder strap and a top handle as well, perfect for however you want to sport it. The red, blue, and beige over white mix gives off a clean, classic finish.

Boy Chanel

Your newest bag obsession may just be inspired by the mosaic floors of your favorite French brasserie. Yes, floors. This tiled, zigzag cross-body Boy Chanel bag has yellow, pink, and brown beadwork on the flap interchanged with black. Since the bag’s introduction in 2011, it has gone through seasonal makeovers but this one is its first graphic version. Karl Lagerfeld may have gone too literal on the brasserie theme on this one, but with the gold chain and clasp details, it sure worked.

Miu Miu Fashion Show Top Handle

Plaited, gathered, and crunched leather pony skin—in aqua—is surely what makes a statement piece. But that’s not the best of it, the new Fashion Show Top Handle Bag has a python-skin and plexiglass twisted handle that provide a clash of texture that works. The leopard detail on the sides adds style for those feeling adventurous with their bag. They all together sound like a clash of one too many ideas but take a good look at it. We’re sensing a new ‘It’ bag over here.
