Heads up, Blinks! Jennie Kim recently teamed up with Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster for a collection featuring eyeglasses, chainlink glasses chains and other accessories. The brand unveiled the collaboration on Apr. 13 with a campaign shot by Hugo Comte modeled by Jennie herself that, according to the brand, presents “surreal iterations of Jennie’s childhood hopes and dreams.”
“Inspired by Jennie’s childhood memories, we created a nostalgic fantasy world filled with teddy bears and dollhouses. Jentle Home is a sentimental experience that brings our own fantasies to life, while reminding us of our own innocent dreams and hopes that we often forget and lose,” Gentle Monster describes the collection.
The collection, named “Jentle Home,” will first drop on Apr. 21 on the Gentle Monster website (you can check out the items and their prices now, but you can’t purchase them yet), and the brand will hold an “experiential pop-up space in Garosugil, Sinsa dong, Seoul” in May. The collection would also be in store for Gentle Monster’s international branches (including New York and Los Angeles, unfortunately not Manila), “once it’s deemed safe again for [these] flagships to re-open,” considering the global COVID-19 pandemic.
