Top Japanese Retail Brand to Enter the Queen City of the South

Uniqlo, the global name in Japanese ready-to-wear, is set to open stores in Cebu later this year.

The stores mark the first outlets of Uniqlo in the Visayas region after successfully establishing 23 outlets in Luzon and Metro Manila since they came to the Philippines in 2013. “Entering the Visayas market is a milestone in our growth strategy,” says Katsumi Kubota COO of Fast Retailing Co., mother company of Uniqlo.

One outlet will be located at SM City Cebu and the other will be at SM City Seaside Cebu. Both will carry Uniqlo’s full range of products for men, women, and children.

Since entering the clothing retail market in 1984, Uniqlo has over 1,4000 stores in over 16 countries worldwide and is known for lightweight and durable clothing that uses the latest in fabric technology. Recently, it has announced and released photos of its collaboration with FrenchLemaire.
