You know it’s the end of Cara Delevingne’s era when Topshop’s campaigns no longer have her face. This season, it’s the start of the reign of 20-year-old rising model Gigi Hadid.
The high street brand has unveiled its autumn/winter 2015 range with Gigi. In the photos shot by Tyrone Lebon and styled by Topshop creative director Kate Phelan, she’s seen sporting denims, black suits, a leopard faux fur coat, and other fall-appropriate pieces that give off a toned down grunge and casual look.
Chosen for her “effortless, Californian style,” Gigi gives new life to Topshop, who’s now refocusing efforts in “developing their footprint across all markets.” “Gigi is an ideal ambassador to underpin these [expansion] efforts,” says Arcadia group director Sir Philip Green.
Gigi has evolved into a total It girl, so much so that she’ll also be the face of Max Mara’s fall campaigns. She’s also one of the most desirable Victoria’s Secret angels, and the current favorite of Guess. Looks like every brand out there is just as smitten with her as Joe Jonas already is.
