After we announced Johnny Depp as the face of Dior Sauvage, their newest perfume for men back in June, both the brand and the actor have been mum on the details of the campaign and the perfume itself—until now.
With the full-length spot to be released on Sept. 2, along with the launch of the perfume, Dior released the first video teaser from the ad on their Instagram and YouTube page:
While Johnny isn’t actually seen in the video, we do hear his voice as he says, “I gotta get outta here. Which way? I don’t know,” then concludes with “Dior.”
That’s about it. The video is directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino who famously directed six Madonna videos including “Justify My Love.”
The perfume itself was created by Dior’s resident perfumer François Demachy, who also crafted Dior Homme and Miss Dior. Dior Sauvage is the house’s first fragrance for men in 10 years.
