How to Dress Like a #TeamPreenPH Girl

It’s another week and as always, more days of trying to figure out what the heck to wear. In between hot mornings and stormy early evenings, it’s quite hard to decide on the right outfit. But take it from our #TeamPreenPH girls. Whether they’re in the local scene or in a foreign land, they’ve got some trusted street style techniques to combat any “I have nothing to wear” situation.

#1 Get some shade
As mentioned earlier, the sun is still notoriously out even in these supposedly cold weather months. It’s best to be ready with some extra protection other than your SPF. Martine Cajucom (@ilovemartine) tops an all-white outfit with a cute white hat to keep her cool and shady during her Turking vacation. You could opt for the same style with this wide-brim straw hat (P745) from Forever 21.

Forever 21. Available at SM Makati, SM Megamall, SM Aura, SM Southmall, and SM North Edsa. For more information, visit their website.

#2  Dress it down
For a casual jaunt about town, grab your trusty sneakers and your favorite shirt dress the way Chanel Olive Thomas (@chanelolivethomas) did. The model contrasted a girly, flower print dress with some high-tops, making sure she’s ready for anything. If you want a more somber version to pair up with your chosen kicks, you can get this black and white fitted dress (P1,990) from H&M.

H&M. Available at SM Makati, SM Megamall, SM Fairview and Robinson’s Place-Manila. For more information, visit their website.

#3 Stay breezy
It pays to stick to something simple and forgiving like the loose white top mom-to-be Isabel Roces-Trebol (@isabelroces23) was seen in last week. The blouse will allow you to keep your cool when the sun is up and would be great underneath a dark jacket when the rains fall. This lace panel top (P1,950) from Mango should just do the trick for those of you who are out to copy Isabel’s style.

Mango. Available at Greenbelt, SM Megamall, and SM Aura Premier. For complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.

#4 Stick to one focal piece
Laureen Uy (@laureenmuy) still grabbed some attention in the streets of Jerusalem even though she wore an understated black top and sandals. And that’s because she used those pieces to contrast her long, pleated skirt with a colorful design. It’s an effortless way to make a statement without going over-the-top. Do the same thing by matching your trusted neutral pieces with this green fancy skirt (P2,595) from Zara.

Zara. Available at Greenbelt 5. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.

#5  Jump into some athleisure
Kiana Valenciano (@kianavee) sported a vintage see-through shirt from her mother, proving that great style can be inherited. She was spot-on with the athleisure trend with a cropped top underneath, sneakers, and a shirt tied around her waist. Start sporting a similar look with this Stradivarius top with a transparent yoke (P1,290) so you can maintain that chic vibe as your pair it with your other sporty pieces.

Stradivarius. Available at Glorietta 2, Shangri-la Plaza Mall, and SM Aura Premier. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.
