The Best Beauty Looks at Milan Fashion Week S/S ’16

Look at that, another fashion week just passed us by. With the new clothes and runway looks we’re taking away (boho-geek at Gucci, streetwear chic at Moschino, weekender look at Dolce & Gabbana), don’t forget the makeup tricks the runway shows have inspired. Milan Fashion Week has given us everything from the crazy to the doable, all of which dictate our next looks. So here are the best and what we’ve filed under “What to Do Next.”

Best Brows
Mario Dice

Move over, Cara Delevingne. Mario Dice introduced the newest way to enhance your brows: lace appliqués.

Best Lips
Prada

In the debate between dark lips and nude puckers, notable makeup artist Pat McGrath opts out of it and creates a completely new trend. Models at the Prada sported foiled gold lips that elevated the glowing, lit-from-within look.

Best Eyelashes
Marni

Makeup artist Tom Pechaux took the mod-inspired look at Marni on overdrive with lashes that go on for days. “These are not dolly lashes. It should look like the Marni girl has used too much Revitalash,” says Tom.

Best Eyeshadow
Missoni

Also following the mod trend that’s slowly creeping up the runways, Missoni goes for electric hues for eye shadow. Painted all-over the lid, the colors stood out and induce rave party dreams.

Best Hair
Armani

Long, side swept bangs update your mother’s updo and make it runway-worthy. We’ve tagged this look and have already booked our next salon appointment.

Best “No Makeup” Look
Salvatore Ferragamo

Trust Ferragamo to remind us that there is nothing wrong with staying chic and classy despite the ever-changing and eclectic trends. The pearls in their S/S ’16 might have overdosed on growth serum, but when paired with poreless, perfect skin, they look just fine.

Best “Let Me Take a Selfie” Look
Dolce & Gabbana

Other than the fact that models actually did take a selfie on the runway, D&G really did lay down the formula to a photo-ready face. Rose-stained lips, a hint of blush, full but feathery brows, a subtle touch of gold on the inner corner of the eye, and a cat flick make for our next go-to look for everyday.
