Local Beauty Brand Finally Finds a Home

Local beauty brand Happy Skin finally finds its new abode in its first stand-alone boutique yesterday at Glorietta 3, Ayala Grand Mall.
Guests, which included model Tweetie De Leon-Gonzalez and Red Charity Gala chair Tessa Prieto-Valdes, were treated to an afternoon of cocktails and fun activities that included taking selfies, designing your own Happy Skin products, and trying out their different lippies.
The boutique opening also marks the brand’s second anniversary. Established by Jacq Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, the brand has quickly gained a following among local makeup junkies. Happy Skin was only initially available in Beauty Bar and Plains & Prints branches.

But the celebration doesn’t stop here. For the upcoming holidays, the brand’s well-loved lippies will come in gold-stamped, hardbound books—just don’t expect to read them, though. “These books celebrate the different lifestyles of women today,” explains Jacq.

By celebrate, she meant pucker your lips for their new set of lip shades. The first of four books, the How to Take the Perfect #Selfie Moisturizing Lippie Set (P1,499) contains three wearable Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies. #StrikeAPose contains a brightening berry hue; the #PuckerUp shade is a flattering mauve; and #StayHappy is a distinct earthy peach shade.
Other sets are the How to Make Beauty Effortless Lip and Cheek Mousse Set, the How to Make a Statement Moisturizing Matte Lippie Set, and the How to Conquer the World Moisturizing Lip Lacquer Set.
So is it Christmas yet? We’ve already got the iPad Pro and the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani collab on our wish lists. It wouldn’t hurt to add this in there, yes?
The holiday 2015 collection will be exclusively sold at their Glorietta 3 boutique, Greenbelt 5 pop-up store, and official site. Happy Skin is celebrating their second birthday, and they are offering free, beauty treats the entire month. For more information, visit their website.
