Filipino Designer Lesley Mobo Designs Iconic Bond Girl Dress

Looks like there’s no rest for wicked Filipino designer Lesley Mobo. A few weeks after his successful show for this year’s Red Charity Gala, he reveals in an Instagram post that he “designs dresses for Bond girls in [his] spare time.”

He posted a promotional image for the latest James Bond installment Spectre, which features French actress Léa Seydoux wearing one of his designs.

Called the “Salma Dress,” the sleek and understated gown shows off Lea’s curves quite tastefully. The dress comes off as a stark contrast to the fully sequined Tudor-inspired creations he presented at the Red Charity Gala.

Lesley is a graduate of Central Saint Martins, whose work includes collaborations with Uniqlo and Absolut Vodka, an exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and features in publications such as Elle Germany, Vogue España, and Vanity Fair.

On the other hand, Spectre is the 26th Bond film, which continues the story of secret agent James Bond as he saves the world in extraordinary missions. Daniel Craig plays the lead, his third time doing so after receiving critical acclaim for his performances in Skyfall and Casino Royale. Léa plays his love interest in the film, following her successes in other movies like Inglorious Basterds and Blue Is the Warmest Color.
