Ariana Grande Serenades an Old Cab Driver While Hawking New Fragrance

It’s been four months since Ariana Grande announced her impending celebrity fragrance called Ari by Ariana Grande, which, in Internet years, may as well be an eternity.

So that people stay excited for the launch, she has released the official promotional video for the scent, which is set in New York City in the ’60s. As she hops into the lavender painted cab and asks to be driven to 23rd and Broadway, the charming old man driving the cab glances at her and asks her if she’s that famous singer he’s seen before.

“What’s your name?” he asks.

“Ariana, but you can call me Ari,” she answers with a wink and a grin.

He then asks her to sing him a little tune, and before you know it, she’s going on full-on diva mode with her most recent single “Focus,” belting it out at the back of the cab while spritzing herself liberally with her own perfume.

Let it be noted that this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Ariana act before: She began her career on Nickelodeon shows Victorious and Winx Club, with her most recent small screen appearance being a cameo on Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens, alongside Emma Roberts.

While Ari by Ariana Grande is already available in certain parts of North America and Canada, there’s no word yet on when it’ll be available locally. In the meantime, we’re still waiting for her collab with MAC Viva Glam to drop next year!
