After unveiling the shockingly expensive prices of his fall/winter `16 line last year, Kanye West wants to tone it down a bit for the release of Yeezy season 3 collection so that more people can afford his line of clothes and shoes.
During a recent ambush interview with TMZ, Kanye told the cameraman, “We’re gonna get them lower [by next season.]”
Yeezy is the collaborative fashion line of Kanye and Adidas Originals which sells men and women’s clothing and shoes.
Kanye expressed in an interview before that he’s always wanted his clothing to be accessible to the masses. “I’m not H&M, I don’t have giant factories,” he said. “How can I get the price point to what I need to be if I’m running an eight-person design team…I’m saying it’s going to take time to get there.”
Is this real? Is this really the same Kanye who sold Destroyed Sweaters worth a whopping $2,260 for season 1 and season 2’s Bonded Raglan Trench Coats expected to be worth over $1,200? (To be fair, Season 2 is far more reasonably priced than the first one, but still expensive.)
While waiting for the next fashion week event and anticipate Kanye’s new collection, we can all listen to his new album Swish coming out this Feb.11.
