Sabina Gonzalez, Tweetie de Leon’s Unica Hija, Nabs Major Beauty and Fashion Campaign

We first set our eyes on Sabina Gonzalez as she made her runway debut on the Inquirer Red x Maureen Disini show and got to know her a little better when she shot her first cover for Inquirer Red Magazine.

Though she’s in no rush to take over the modeling scene (she’s currently taking up architecture at the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde), it’s apparent that the industry is clamoring to see more of those hereditary supermodel features—she is, after all, the only daughter of Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez.

Yesterday, she, along with blogger and MTV VJ host Aryanna Epperson (who is the daughter of blogger Jenni Epperson), was fêted as the face of Happy Skin cosmetics and Plains & Prints’ first makeup and clothing collaboration: the limited-edition Prints Made Pretty Collection. Chosen to represent the country’s “future faces of beauty,” Happy Skin co-founder Rissa Mananquil-Trillo says, “They epitomize the fresh and modern beauty of the Filipina.”

“With fashion industry heavyweights like Tweetie de Leon and Jenni Epperson as moms, they possess fashion heritage yet stand on their own,” she continues.

Taking their cue from the fun, girly packaging and brand image of Happy Skin, Plains & Prints created a set of vibrant, original prints for the collection. “We were inspired by Happy Skin’s newest products, so we took the collection to the next level by infusing prints and colors that exude a fun, young vibe,” shares Plains & Prints co-founder Roxanne Farillas.

The new products that Roxanne refers to are Happy Skin’s limited-edition Prints Made Pretty Glisten Up! Strobing Kit, which features the Glisten Up! Highlighter, Blush, and Contour Cheek Sticks. “Solid sticks are a big, global beauty trend now,” observes Happy Skin co-founder Jacque Yuengtian-Gutierrez. “More and more women are leaning toward them because they give the ultimate pay-off by being so convenient—you don’t need tools to use them; just apply directly on your face and blend with the warmth of your fingers.”

Watch Sabina and Aryanna test out the products and wear the clothing from the collection in the promotional video below:

The Plains Made Pretty Collection is available exclusively at Zalora from today until Feb. 17. Starting on Feb. 18, the collection will be available at Happy Skin stores and beauty counters and Plains & Prints stores nationwide.
