Artist Gill Button Creates 1,200 Handmade Invitations for Dries Van Noten’s Show

With the popularity of e-vites, receiving an actual invitation becomes a bit of a treat. But designer Dries Van Noten wants to kicks it up a notch by having all 1,200 invitations to his latest autumn/winter show handmade by artist Gill Button.

Gill is a London-based illustrator who has worked with Gucci and publications like Vanity Fair and the The Times. Her latest work, Sketchy Men, which can be viewed on her Instagram account and website, is a series of illustrations where she creates one portrait a day. Incidentally, Dries Van Noten commissioned Gill to do the invitations after stumbling upon her work through the social media site.
