Which Should Be Our National Dish? Adobo or Sinigang


Are you on #TeamAdobo or #TeamSinigang? As a light-hearted survey to revv up our appetites and Filipino cuisine know-how, the National Commission on Culture and the Arts is asking what should be our national dish.

It’s quite hard to decide since both are very much ingrained in our daily lives and every household has its own version of making them. Anthony Bourdain recently recognized this of adobo when he came for a little culinary to the Philippines.

Meanwhile, we also turn to the comfort of a good old sinigang for our rainy nights in and even have some soup bars dedicated to its artisanal experience. It’s like our equivalent to how the Japanese love their ramen.

This is quite a tough call, isn’t it?
