It’s one of those hypothetical questions you never thought you would see in real life: What if Barack Obama and Anthony Bourdain dine together?
A sneak peek of the answer came about as Anthony shared photos of his bun Cha meal with the President of the United States.
The two met in Vietnam as Anthony travels the globe for his show “Parts Unknown” while Barack makes a pitstop during his tenth Asian trip.
Anthony and Barack kicked it like two regular joes at a humble eatery set up with some plastic chairs and cold beer. You know, just like any other two men would. Only one hosts a widely-popular TV show and the other is one of the most important political figures in history. But, really, it’s NBD.
The famous food critic also tweeted about picking up the tab.
Total cost of bun Cha dinner with the President: $6.00 . I picked up the check . #Hanoi

Maybe Barack can return the favor someday. We’re thinking breakfast at the White House with Joe Biden?
