Preen Exclusive: MAC Cosmetics Set to Release MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics

To just make sure your Monday ends on a lighter note, we’re here to announce that one of your favorite makeup brands is set to release a massive collection early next year. Yup, by massive, we mean a 50-piece collection.

MAC Cosmetics has partnered up with three of the best makeup artists on and off the fashion runway—Kabuki, James Kaliardos, and Diane Kendal—called MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics. These artists have worked with MAC Cosmetics all throughout their journey making it fitting for the brand to create a full-blown collection with them.

“Artistry and product innovation are at the core of MAC Cosmetics. For many years we’ve worked with Kabuki, James, and Diane backstage creating makeup looks and providing invaluable new product feedback at countless fashion weeks. It was a natural progression to collaborate with them on their own collections with new products and their favorite shades and tools,” shares Jennifer Balbier, MAC’s senior vice president for Global Product Development.

The beauty brand has always been well-known with their array of famous products that we love (hello, Ruby Woo and so much more!) to the most creative collaborations to date (SelenaGuo PeiStar Trek, etc.) So we can just imagine what they have in store for this new collection set to be released on January 2017.

To tease you a little bit, Kabuki shares that MAC gave him complete freedom with the new collection and he thinks that we will love the colors, textures, and long-lasting wearability of the products. Additionally, James shares that he drew inspiration from the archive of colors that he loved and that he wants women all over the world to feel beautiful and confident when they use the new line.

Given all their distinct styles, we certainly can’t wait for early next year. Exciting, huh?
