While Everyone Shows Resort Collections, Public School Stages Spring Show

Right now, a lot of major brands are capitalizing on resort collections with romantic and flowy details and colorful designs. The case isn’t the same for Public School as they presented Collection 1, entitled “False Heroes”, as their pre-spring and spring line.

Ditching the norm to showcase every February and September, the brand prefers to showcase collections closer to the retail calendar. They have also done away with presenting collections separately for men and women.

As for the aesthetic, “False Heroes” is a very androgynous streetwear collection dominated by black fabrics and hints of yellow.

Ever since making a debut in the fashion scene, it was easy to tell that designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osbourne were rebels. That’s why it was quite the headline when their takeover of DKNY was made official.  And with this latest collection, they are just being true to the image they’ve established.
