Today, #TeamPreenPH girl and jewelry designer Janina Dizon opens her showroom for the 38th anniversary of Jul B. Dizon. This will be held at The Conservatory at The Manila Peninsula and is stictly by invitation only as it offers up the designer’s latest creations and also a few of her favorite vintage pieces that have insipired her works. Some of the silver based jewelry in the showroom can be pruchased at 40 percent off while a part of the proceeds will be donated to the Philippine Cancer Society.
As a bit of a peek, Janina shared with us some of the most extravagant pieces on display.
First off is a vintage bracelet of green emeralds with 15 carats and six carats worth of diamonds in 18k white gold.
“I chose this bracelet since, as you can see, it is one spectacular piece and to do this in this day and age, it would entail far more labor and cost,” Janina says.
Next up is a pair of old cut diamonds, circa 1800s. Set in platinum, these diamonds are 10 carats in total. Janina says, “My love for vintage continues and nothing speaks to me more than old cut diamonds.”
Both pieces speak of a timeless quality that are inherent in well-made and tastefully designed jewelry. This signifies how jewelry is always best when it isn’t flashy but speaks for itself and goes with anything from your favorite t-shirt and jeans to an elegant ballgown.
