4 Wearable Ombre Lips for Any Occasion

The end of the summer season calls for a new beauty trend for you to try: ombre lips.

This fun little trick can be done with different colors, from neutral to wild varieties. But today, we’d like to focus on wearable colors you can sport for your day and night looks.

Match your natural makeup look with a nude ombre lip―a nice neutral color you can wear to the office.
1. Line your lips with a brown pencil like Becca’s Nude Lip Pencil in Nougat (P1,139) to give it a plump appearance. (Becca. Available at Sephora.)

2. Apply Wet N’ Wild’s Mega Last Lip Color in Bare It All (P299) all over your lip. You can even leave some space in the middle to add a lighter color. (Wet N’ Wild. Available at Beauty MNL.)

3. Complete it with a tiny bit of L’Oreal’s Color Riche Tint Caresse in Lily Blossom on the middle part of your lower lip. Lightly blend it using a lip brush or your finger. (L’Oreal. Available at Watson’s. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.)

When you need to go to parties in the evening, it’s always best to go with a red lip. Here’s how you can add dimension to it with the ombre technique.
1. Grab Bobbi Brown’s Art Stick in Harlow Red and line the outer corners of your lips. (Bobbi Brown. Available at SM Megamall and Glorietta 1. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.)

2. For lipstick, go for a deep red one like Sleek Makeup’s True Colour Lipstick in OMG (P512) and apply it on your lips. (Sleek Makeup. Available at Sephora.)

3. Finish it off by adding shadows on the corners. For this, use NARS Lip Liner in Belle Mare. (NARS. Available in SM Stores. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.)

Add some brightness to your everyday look with a good pink lipstick and a touch of coral.
1. Apply Esteé Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Dominant for that bright pink shade. (Esteé Lauder. Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source, Glorietta 4. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.)

2. Add a touch of Too Faced Melted Liquefied Lipstick in Coral (P1,272) on the middle of your lower lip and lightly blend. You can also add gloss to the middle for more shimmer. (Too Faced. Available at Sephora.)

If you’re someone who likes to play with lip glosses during night outs, you might want to try this pink and purple ombre combination.
1. First, apply MAC Lipstick in Captive which is a light pink and lavender shade to serve as your base color. (MAC. Available at SM Makati and SM Megamall. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.)

2. Add a slightly darker pink shade like Maybelline’s Lip Flush by Color Sensational in PK03 on the middle of your lower lip and blend.(Maybelline. Available at SM Stores and Watson’s. For a complete list of stores and more information, visit their website.)

3. Finish the look by applying a Esteé Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss in Berry Provocative on top of the base color.
