When celebrities aren’t glammed up and walking the red carpet, you’ll notice that they throw on some shades and a hat so they’ll still look stylish casual wear. But recently, we’ve been seeing a lot of them wearing “dad caps.”
What exactly are dad caps? They’re basically baseball caps with curved brims, and are made of either cotton or canvas. It’s become this must-have accessory today to give off that laidback feel to any outfit―whether in a casual setting or an evening affair.
Since the start of year, international celebs like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, Hailey Baldwin, and others were seen sporting this trend on many occasions. Same with local personalities like Laureen Uy, Janina Manipol, Solenn Heussaff, and Jess Yang, to name a few.
This trend is obviously easy to pull off since there are so many colors of dad caps to choose from to match with any outfit. It also brings us back to a time where we control our unruly hair with a trusty hat―this time, it’s a legit fashion trend rather than a tacky piece on lazy days. Plus, there’s a ’90s vibe to it and some of us want to incorporate that in our day to day look.
