The fall season always gives us an excuse to play around with dark hues with our fashion and beauty choices. With that in mind, we also want to incorporate different dark and warm palettes into our home, and not just limiting yourself to just black.
We gathered a list of items to inspire you to play around with these prints and colors in your home―be it in your den, dining room, and even your bathroom.
Living Room
For the sofa, you can place solid-colored pillows like this red canvas one from H&M (P299).
You can even mix in pillows with different patterns or prints to make it more eye-catching. With this, you can opt for West Elm’s Jacquard Velvet Flower Heads Pillow (P723).
You can also add more depth to the room by adding a translucent vase with a grayish tint (or any color your prefer) like this double-curved Scandinavian Glass Vase (P1,880).

Dining Room
Style up your dining table with printed placemats with a slightly dark hue to it like The Olive Tree‘s Libertad (P1,750).
And for contrast, you can stick with solid-colored plate sets like these Pacifica Dinner Plates from Williams-Sonoma (P1,541) which has dark cool-toned turquoise and navy plates, as well as a warm rusty red shade.

Bedroom
Since the bedroom is where we all relax, we thought that adding strong colors like red would ruin that. However, a nice shade of dark blue like from Pottery Barn’s Avril Comforter and Sham (P8,644) would do well to achieve dark-hue decor but still looks relaxing.
For pillows, you can either stick with plain white or pair it with blue/white canvas pillow cases from SM Home (P59.75/each).
If you’re not up for this, you can also go the fun route with this brown and beige faux fur throw (P3,990). Just place it on top of plain white sheets.

Bathroom
We don’t want your bathroom looking too dull and gray, so we suggest you work with a bit of color like this olive green Guam bath mat from Habitat (P2,364).
For your shower curtain, you can go for this translucent Pearl Strings Curtain from Crate & Barrel (P2,892). It also has a greenish tint to it so it doesn’t clash with the bath mat. But if you have other color combinations in mind, feel free to experiment on them.
