The US Presidential elections is a day away and the world is so close to meeting the new leader. (Vote for Hillary Clinton, please) Now that the Obamas are about to vacate the White House, Architectural Digest give us a peek at how the new president might redecorate the place.
For Hillary, they note that she was in charge of interiors when her husband Bill Clinton was still in office. We see a lot of yellow, from the plates to the upholstery. Arkansas designer Kaki Hockersmith also incorporated florals on the seats, carpets, and curtains. It’s a soft and feminine contrast to this strong-willed woman.
Meanwhile, they picture Donald Trump’s White House to have the same metallic accents as the Trump Tower. They also took note of the marble surfaces and dramatic chandeliers present in his homes. Just what you can expect from a million-dollar businessman.
While we know some are stressed out over the elections, this is a refreshing perspective away from all the misogynistic and racist controversies that’s been happening in the US recently. So, which one do you like best?
