Allure reports on this DIY hack by Spoon University that teaches you how to dye your hair with coffee. The result is a tint that will perhaps makes your hair the same color as your favorite latte.
The process is pretty simple as you just combine conditioner and coffee grounds and use it as a hair mask. After one hour, voila! You are officially your own colorist.
Allure does consult a hairstylist and warns us of two things about this beauty hack: there’s no guarantee that the color will spread out evenly and the color won’t show up much as a dye job but just a stain to slightly lighten your current hair situation.
Not bad, perhaps, especially those who just love their cup of joe in the morning. Plus, coffee does have its investment in the skincare world given its effectivity in energizing the skin so your roots might just get a much needed zing at least.
