This Fast-Food Chain Will Be Serving Affordable Frappuccinos Soon

Looks like McDonald’s is going to make their coffees fancier soon. They announced that they’ll revamp their McCafé brand to make way for more sustainable coffee.

According to Bloomberg, the fast-food chain promised to sustainably source coffee by 2020. This also means that they’ll roll out “special deals, more seasonal beverages, and increased marketing of the chain’s coffee rewards program.” Basically, they’re going to be a affordable version of Starbucks and all the other third wave coffee shops that we love. Think: $1 for drip coffee and $2 for an espresso shot.

Not only that, McDonald’s will be installing $12,000 new machines in McCafé branches to ensure that they make better quality coffee.

Bloomberg reports that this might happen some time next year. No news yet on whether this’ll be worldwide though but better keep a close eye on your nearest McDonald’s branch.
