Get to Know the Beauty Brand That’s Catching Every Geek’s Heart

We’ve seen a lot of celebrity makeup collabs in the past. We have Victoria Beckham and Estée Lauder; MAC and every notable song diva like Mariah Carey; even Kylie Jenner collaborated with her sister Khloé Kardashian. These are all great finds for the die-hard fans out there, but there’s one brand which taps onto our geeky hearts.

Storybook Cosmetics came to the beauty scene late last year when they came out with possible Harry Potter-inspired products. This included magic wand brushes and an eyeshadow palette. Now, they’re one of the most anticipated brands of 2017 recognized by Bustle and InStyle.

The brand is owned by triplet sisters Mandy, Missy, and Erin Maynard. According to them, they started Storybook Cosmetics so they could “tap into the exploding ‘geek culture'” in the beauty industry. They also wanted create a line that’s different from existing products like MAC’s Star Trek collab and a Lord of the Rings nail polish you can find on Etsy. Oh, and the products are also cruelty-free.

But they’re not stopping with just Harry Potter stuff. They’re also teasing rose-shaped brushes similar to the one in Beauty and the Beast (Just in time for the movie release? We hope so), light saber brushes, and palettes inspired by Wizard of Oz and Romeo and Juliet. Yup, they have every geek in mind.

As of writing, they put up the Storybook Cosmetics Wizard Wands for pre-sale for $55 just this month and is already sold out. Later this year, expect to see the quill and ink eyeliner, the Wizardry and Witchcraft eyeshadow palette, and Bullseye Brush Set.

And if you’re curious about the swatches, they like to tease on their Instagram account a lot. Just like this:

The only question in our heads right now is whether they’ll ship worldwide because we need this in our beauty arsenal.
