What’s Inside the Makeup Kit of a Miss Universe Candidate?

Miss Universe does not just happen during the live telecast, it’s a full-on event that starts weeks before. This year, the activities for the candidates officially start on Jan. 12 with the culmination and the big event on Jan. 30.

As you see the gorgeous girls from various countries tour the city, do you ever wonder what’s in their makeup arsenal that keeps them looking fresh? We do and we’d like to compare how simple or complicated their kit is compared to ours. Good thing their official makeup sponsor shared with us what’s inside the Miss Universe MAC Cosmetics Kit. Scroll down and pay attention.

Face

MAC Prime + Prime Skin Base Visage

Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark

Each lady gets a bottle of MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base, Studio Fix Fluid, pans of Mineral Skinfinish Natural (a powder in their shade, the Gold Deposit bronzer, and the Soft and Gentle highlighter), MAC Fix +, Studio Fix Perfecting Powder, and a tube of Strobe Cream to help them create the perfect canvas. They also have a bottle of the Cleanse Off Oil for them to easily remove all traces of makeup to make way for skincare.

Eyes

Eyeshadow Palette in Dusty Rose Times Nine

For perfect brows to frame their face, they have the Brow Pencil in Lingering, Fling, or Spiked depending on the color of their hair. The ladies also need to be flexible when it comes to doing their own looks, so when they want to switch from day to night they use the eyeshadow palette in either Amber Times Nine or Dusty Rose Times Nine. To help achieve the cat’s eye, they use Fluidline in Blacktrack. For the illusion of bigger, brighter eyes they finish off with false lashes and two to three coats of False Lashes Waterproof Mascara in Stay Black.

Color

Powder Blush in Peaches

Russian Red

Now for the super fun part: Color! The contestants cannot look pale so a pan of Powder Blush is a must. They also usually have at least three lipsticks that come in brown (Mehr, Velvet Teddy, and Whirl), nude (Cosmo, Taupe, Twig, Please Me), and red shades (Ruby Woo, Russian Red, or Diva) so they have all the bases covered for whatever look they want to achieve. For fuller lips, they use a lip pencil in Boldly Bare for nude to brown shades and Ruby Woo for red. Just in case they want to go for the glossy lip, they can brush on some Tinted Lipglass in Nymphette.

I’m semi-proud to say that I already have a few of these in my own kit, which just goes to show the Miss Universe candidates and I use the same tools to get ready in the morning. How about you? Are you planning to cop any of the items from their kits?
