Donald Trump Has a Few Words for Tom Ford

Is it just me or does president-elect Donald Trump have a way of spewing insults when things don’t go his way? Recently, it was Meryl Streep (whom he called an overrated actress) and now designer Tom Ford.

Tom Ford made news in the industry when he announced that he has no interest in dressing Melania Trump as First Lady. He was asked years ago to work with her, but declined and his decision is not changing anytime soon. Donald has something to say about the matter, like he always does in all things.

“[Melania] never asked Tom Ford,” Donald said during his interview on Fox & Friends. “Doesn’t like Tom Ford, doesn’t like his designs,” he continued. O, RLY, Donald Trump? He goes on to talk about the conversation he had with Wynn’s CEO Steve Wynn, “Steve Wynn just called, and he said he thought it was so terrible what Tom Ford said that he threw his clothing out of his Las Vegas hotel.”

There are two hotels under Wynn, one is the namesake hotel and the other is Encore at Wynn. Both hotels do not house Tom Ford shops or flagships—which makes you question what he is talking about since Tom Ford’s clothes are only available in Neiman Marcus at the other end of the Las Vegas strip. Later on, Refinery29 was able to get a statement from Wynn Las Vegas confirming that Tom Ford Cosmetics and sunglasses have really been pulled out.

It’s amazing how Donald uses his power of words and governance, huh? (If you can’t tell, this is laden with thick sarcasm). He just can’t accept it when he’s given bad feedback—in this case, a designer not dressing up his family members. Ugh.
