Now in the Philippines: Your Favorite Lipstick’s Perfume Equivalent

If you’ve been waiting for the longest time for the MAC Shadescents to be available in local counters since they announced the perfume line in November, today is when that waiting stops. Last night, MAC Cosmetics formally launched Shadescents in the Philippines with the help of their glambassadors Megan Young, Bianca Manalo, Karylle,  RB Chanco, Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi, and Tessa Prieto-Valdes.

The six perfumes in the line represent the six most iconic lipsticks from the cosmetics line: Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, My Heroine, Candy Yum Yum, Velvet Teddy, and Creme De Nude. The red Shadescents have a strong, spicy tone while My Heroine is a musky scent good for evenings. Candy Yum Yum is as sweet as you’d imagine given the name and the hot pink color, while the neutral Shadescents have hints of vanilla and cinnamon.

Gregory Arlt, director of makeup artistry for MAC, (aka Gwen Stefani’s makeup artist) admitted during the launch that he finds it hard to pick a favorite but My Heroine, with its daring scent, is at the forefront.

Each bottle retails for P2,850 and is already available at MAC counters.
