In this #PreenPopQuiz, we spared Kathryn Bernardo the usual beauty questions. Instead, we asked more personal questions when it comes to makeup as she’s the type who is honest about it. You could tell by her welcoming demeanor which makes you feel like you’ve been friends with her for a long time.
We got the chance to catch up with her as she debuted as the newest member of the Pond’s Beauty Council, along with Joey Mead-King, Sofia Andres, and Toni Gonzaga.
What’s the best beauty advice you got from your mom?
Drink a lot of water and take care of your skin while you’re young.
One comment you hate hearing about makeup?
I hate it whenever they say [that your good looks] just depend on your makeup or you’re beautiful just because of your makeup.
How would you tell a girl that she’s putting on too much makeup without offending her?
I will tell her that the trend [this] 2017 is light and fresh makeup. [I hope] that’s not offensive because [that kind of makeup] helps your skin breathe more.

One makeup trend you wish you had the courage to try?
Ever since I wasn’t a fan of heavy and smokey eye so I’m happy that light and fresh is the style today.
