Washington-based Filipino resto Bad Saint made us hungry with their ukoy. Now, we get to see the people behind the food as Bon Appetit got the owners as their March cover girls.
The cover features Bad Saint’s Filipina owners Shaheen Qureshi and Amanda Carpenter. According to the Washingtonian, the magazine’s latest issue focuses on “the children of immigrants and their contribution to America’s vibrant culinary culture.” It also contains a short essay by Bad Saint co-owner Genevieve Villamora.
Last August, Bon Appetit also named Bad Saint as one of the top restaurants in the US. Now they’re the cover story. This resto is certainly making its way to the top.
