Fierce PFW Eye Looks For the Powerful Woman

The bare makeup trend is still having a moment this season, which makes it easier to spot the boldest eye looks. That was the case during Paris Fashion Week.

While we saw how designers dressed today’s woman, we now look for inspiration on bold and modern beauty looks. Especially since it’s Women’s Month and we need to exude power with our makeup. This can also be a not-so subtle way to show shamers that we can do whatever we please with our eye makeup during any occasion.

Gold strokes

We’ve said before how metallics and shine are taking over for both eyes and lips. The models of Alexis Mabille were given gold brush strokes on their eyelids while leaving their face bare. A safe and effective “look at me” move.

Added smoke

To go with Balmain’s rock theme, they added more drama to the traditional smokey eye. Black cream eyeshadow was applied on the upper and lower lash line, and silver and copper pigments were also added to cut through the dark look.

Burgundy liner

Valentino’s version of a smokey eye involves more burgundy shades. You can see a tinge of red peeking from the models’ lower lash line. This is a great trick if you’re not into the black-gray palettes.

Vibrant smudge

Vivienne Westwood went all out with their punk rock theme. We even saw Vivienne herself sporting a bright pink eyeliner on the runway. Aside from that, models were seen with sky blue eyeshadow that extended to their temples—almost creating a fierce eye mask. This is a look you should try if you’re feeling rebellious.

Misplaced eyeliner

Chanel and Thierry Mugler created their own version of the cut crease with exaggerated lines. Chanel’s rendition coincided with Twiggy-inspired lower lashes.

Meanwhile, Thierry Mugler showcased an imperfect line to frame the model’s eye shape.

Colored lashes

Looks like you won’t need colored mascara just for themed parties. Rihanna’s Fenty Puma show had models wearing orange mascara on the runway. We won’t be surprised if this is also a product from her upcoming makeup line.

Glittery touch

Elie Saab’s collections always remind me of Disney princesses—magical and ethereal. For PFW, a glittery smokey eye look took the stage to complement that. Spot how the silver is peeking from the lower lash line like they were diamond tears.
