A Cold Chocolate Drink For Your Summer Woes

I’m a sucker for drinks with overflowing chocolate powder. It’s a reminder of simpler times when I would go to the kitchen and eat a spoonful of it just for the sugar high. Probably bad for the teeth, but who could say no to chocolate?

This is the case while drinking a Milo Dinosaur at any café or Southeast Asian restaurant like Hey Handsome. A popular drink in Malaysia and Singapore, it’s usually served with a cup of excess chocolate malt on top. It’s sweet, indulgent, and cool—apt for the current climate.

Aryanna Epperson shared her love for it via Instagram Stories the other day. Nicole Ortega also enjoyed the drink with her sons during a brunch out.

Luckily, you most likely have the ingredients you need in your home to make a Milo Dinosaur. Go whip one up instead of going to the nearest coffee shop in this unbearable heat.

Milo Dinosaur

Ingredients
1/2 cup whole milk
1/3 cup Milo or any powdered chocolate drink
1 tbsp sugar
Ice cubes or crushed ice

Procedure
1. Warm milk in a saucepan or put it in a microwave.
2. Add the powdered chocolate and sugar, and stir until they dissolve.
3. Fill a glass with ice and pour the chocolate mixture.
4. Top it off with more powdered chocolate. You can either add small amounts or do a full-on pyramid. (Optional: add ice cream if you really want it sweet.)
5. Serve and enjoy!
