Katarina Rodriguez and Chanel Thomas Get Shortlisted for Best National Costume in Bb. Pilipinas

Before we find out this year’s Binibining Pilipinas winner, the contestants are going to be deliberated based on various categories. One of which is national costume wherein there’s already a shortlist of the 10 best contestants. This includes models Katarina Rodriguez and Chanel Olive Thomas.

In her Instagram Stories, fan-favorite Katarina thanked the pageant organizers for choosing her as a national costume finalist. Her blue and white Flipiniana was by Francis Libiran.

She also urged fans to vote for her by liking the photo on Binibining Pilipinas’ Facebook page. As of writing, Katarina has over 5,600 votes.

Meanwhile, Chanel wore an intricate gold ensemble with a headpiece. It’s made by designer Edwin Uy, and it’s a rendition of what Muslim royalty wear here in the Philippines. So far, she’s garnered almost 10,000 likes—the most out of all of them.

Both of them are models who are well-known in the local fashion industry. Katarina was a contestant of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 2. On the other hand, Chanel often walks for major fashion shows like Manila Fashion Fest and Philippine Fashion Week.

The other finalists include Jennyline Carla Malpaya, Jehza Huelar, Sirene Sutton, Mariel De Leon, Nelda Ibe, Christa Borja, Ruffa Nava, and Karla May Manongsong.

Good luck, ladies!
