You might’ve looked at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Cannes 2017 dresses over the weekend and thought that she’s won all the red carpet appearances. While she did look like a princess, there were also other attendees who looked like they came straight out of a fairy tale.
Maybe it’s a metaphor of how it’s a dream come true for many to be part of the prestigious film festival. Or, the ladies simply pulled out all their aces to dress for the occasion. Either way, we’re here to round up some of the dreamiest looks from Cannes so far.
Emily Ratajkowski
Emily Ratajkowski made an impression in her black lace bodysuit with a ruffled train. It’s like a cross between a countess and a dark temptress who’s waiting to strike.
Sara Sampaio
VS Angel Sara Sampaio’s red ball gown from Zuhair Murad kind of reminds us of the dancing girl emoji. It’s both fiery and elegant.
Lily Collins
What’s the best way to accessorize an ivory white gown? Have your best smile and two handsome princes (aka. Jake Gylenhaal and Paul Dano) with you. At least that’s what Lily Collins did.
Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne’s dark Moschino ensemble, along with her grungy makeup, was an intense look to pull off. But it fit the evening well.
Sonam Kapoor
We bet people easily saw Thai actress Sonam Kapoor from across the room with her shimmery Elie Saab number. Same as Aishwarya, The Indian Express also likened her to a queen.
Rihanna
Far from here over-the-top look at the Met Gala, Rihanna went for a toned-down look with her white Dior gown and simple updo.
Winnie Harlow
Former America’s Next Top Model contestant Winnie Harlow was a show-stopper with her cobalt blue ball gown. The color complemented her complexion and the slit allowed her to show off her long legs.
Uma Thurman
The actress kept it classy in a blush pink Atelier Versace gown which showed off her collarbones. Uma also let her straight hair fall to her shoulders for a natural look.
Lily Rose Depp
Straight off the Chanel Cruise runways, Lily Rose Depp channeled her inner Greek goddess with her crisp white dress. The gold details added more dimension to the ensemble.
Adriana Lima
Adriana Lima knows how to turn any look into a bold statement. She wore a strapless Naeem Khan gown and paired it with bright red lipstick and a chunky diamond necklace.
Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning brought a garden nymph vibe with her soft green Gucci gown. The skirt’s hem was also lined with oversized flowers. (Hopefully no one accidentally stepped on them.)
Coco Rocha
A combination of conservative and daring, Coco Rocha wore a light pink gown with no shortage of pleats and embroidery. She topped it off with a braided updo that showed off her refined bone structure.
