Liz Uy Reveals On-the-Go Favorites for #ChooTravels

In an interview with Inquirer.net, Liz Uy gives us the essentials to a jet-setter’s life as she also shares her #ChooTravels. The stylist slash It-girl joined Jimmy Choo’s latest campaign which involved a trip to the Maldives along with other digital influencers like Vanessa Hong and Anny Fan.

Liz shared her packing tips which include learning to compartmentalize and wardrobe must-haves such as sunglasses, “sensible shoes,” a wide-brimmed hat, a straw bag, day dress and a swimsuit.

Same with our previous feature on her, Liz’s beauty essentials involve just the basics like moisturizer and lip balm. She also has to have some virgin coconut oil because it can be used as lotion, hair treatment, and makeup remover.

In terms of fashion, Liz mentioned that she idolizes Bianca Jagger and Loulou de la Falaise. And it shows as she believes that denim pants are a must-have when on holidays as you can either dress them down or dress them up for any occasion.

Of the project with Jimmy Choo, which showcased the pre-fall 2017 collection, Liz said it didn’t feel so stressful to be on set. “The trip did not feel like work at all. I mean, how could it be when the itinerary included a yoga session in the morning, a massage in the afternoon and a view of the best turquoise waters?”

But, of course, there were a few glitches, none of which Liz couldn’t handle. “The photo shoot was also an unforgettable experience because I remember I had only five to eight minutes to shoot and we were catching the light. There were lots of running and the wooden planks had spaces in between, so I was tiptoeing the whole time so that my heel would not get stuck. I had to make sure everything was perfect for the whole shoot.”

Liz surely seems more than prepared to take on more projects. Her stint with Jimmy Choo follows a string of other endorsement deals with brands like Gucci and Byredo. She signed on with international agency The Society Management (a first for a Filipina!) earlier this year and was then featured in Vogue.com and Elle Brasil.
