One thing I’ve learned while applying lipstick: You can never have too much color or shine when you want it. This is also in line with how you can mix different lip products to get your preferred color or effect. It’s a trick that even Martine Cajucom shared with us when we raided her vanity.
This is where lip tints and toppers become useful. You get the choice to make your lip color stand out more, create an ombré, or just add a little shimmer. These products can also make your lipstick last longer. If you’ve always been skeptical about layering lip products, it might be time to reconsider your options.
J.Cat Liptitude 24/7 Hydrating Lip Stain
What I love about this lip stain is that it’s pigmented and the color distributes evenly when you use a lip brush. I sometimes use this to enhance my red lipstick (I have the red lip stain, obviously). This adds a smooth sheen to my lips. This also works when applied on its own. 3CE Glass Gloss Transparency
Clear gloss is handy when you want to add shine to any lip color. 3CE’s Glass Gloss prevents chapped lips and keeps them hydrated. And unlike other glosses, this isn’t sticky. Available on Sephora PH.
Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte
For a velvety long-wearing tint, try this one from Inglot. Apply on top of your chosen lipstick shade to give it a more intense color. Available at SM Megamall.
Jouer Skinny Dip Long-Wearing Lip Topper

Smashbox LA Lights Blendable Cheek & Lip Color
For a subtle sheen, apply this tint on the middle of your lips for an ombré effect. We suggest you use a shade that’s lighter than your lipstick. You can also use this product as a blush. (Go add this to your time-saving products bag.) Available at Beauty Bar.
Lime Crime Diamond Crushers Lip Topper
Lime Crime’s Diamond Crushers Lip Topper collection doesn’t disappoint when it comes to making your lips look glittery and holographic.
