Princess Diana is an inspiration to many, including Off-White founder and designer Virgil Abloh. We might even see a Diana-inspired streetwear line later this year.
Virgil teased his upcoming collection for September by posting a photo of his inspiration board. He simply wrote that Off-White will be releasing 40 looks paying homage to the late Princess of Wales. If you look closely, you’ll also see that Virgil divided the collection: “Charity,” “Mom,” “Countryside Girl,” “Princess,” and more.
We all know Diana is a fashion icon who made pie-crust collars and blazers a staple when she was still alive. ASOS previously launched a collection inspired by her dresses and even her sweaters—giving a modern, but still elegant take on the pieces.
But how exactly will Virgil translate Diana’s style into streetwear? Guess we just have to wait and see in September.
