How Ylona Garcia and Camille Co Break the Rules on Mixing Prints

One major rule in fashion is to not pair prints with prints, especially if they contrast each other. It’s almost like there are horrified gasps once you decide to wear this combo. But we know by now that the other rule of fashion is to break existing ones.

We mentioned before how florals are brightening up this rainy season’s gloomy scheme. We’re taking it up a notch and see how celebrities wear various patterns and colors. To quote The Blonde Salad, “The idea will be to mix contrasting colors, complex graphics, stripes and polka dots, flowers and animal prints, all happy together.”

Isabelle Daza

During their trip to Paris, Isabelle wore dark blue dress with astronomy patterns. She then threw on a polka-dotted cardigan in a darker hue. Definitely a breezy choice for a walk in the Jardin du Luxembourg.

Camille Co

Camille is giving off a summery vibe with her bright ensemble. Her yellow off-shoulder top is decorated with pink flowers, while her skirt has red and white stripes.

Ylona Garcia

While Ylona is wearing all-polka dots, the color combination is eye-catching. Stylist Myrrh Lao To paired a dark-colored bralette with high-waisted lavender pants. This is giving us a retro vibe, especially with Ylona’s curly hair.

Tricia Gosingtian

For a more subdued option, Tricia wore a light blue top with graphic prints and paired it with a checkered skirt. This is perfect for those who are still hesitant to play with vibrant colors.

Sofia Andres

One way to play with prints is with your accessories. Sofia carried a floral handbag to go with her yellow checkered button-down shirt.
