Nicki Minaj is one of the most successful female rappers today. She’s also known for her love of anything pink—from her hot pink lips on “Super Bass” to her pink latex bodysuit at the MTV Video Music Awards 2017. Nicki even changed her name on Instagram to “Barbie.”
That said, Nicki is releasing her newest all-pink MAC collab. The rapper worked with the brand before for their VIVA Glam line. But this time, it’s a full-blown collection featuring 24 new and existing lipstick shades.
For today, we’re only focusing on the two exclusive nude shades: Pinkprint (midtone creamy pink) and Nicki’s Nude (soft coral pink). Yes, they’re nude in Nicki’s book. Both shades have also received criticism for how fragile they are because of the Amplified formula. If you’re not a fan of that, we’re giving you dupes for each shade with different finishes.
L’Oreal Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick in Sakura Petal
Sakura Petal has a bold baby pink color that stands out on any skin tone. This lipstick has a semi-matte finish that’s not too drying. It’s also formulated with jojoba oil to moisturize the lips all day. Available at SM Makati.
Revlon Super Matte Lustrous Lipstick in Paradise Pink
For a true matte, try this one from Revlon. It feels lightweight on the lips but delivers vibrant pigment. Swipe on Paradise Pink if you want to make a bold statement on your next date. Available on Beauty MNL.
Burt’s Bees Satin Lipstick in Iced Iris
Burt’s Bees’ Satin Lipstick is a good daily product as it moisturizes the lips with moringa and raspberry seed oils. Iced Iris is a nice pink shade with a shiny finish. Fair warning: You may need to reapply this product throughout the day. Available at Beauty Bar.
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Coral Crush
Formulated with a satin matte finish, Coral Crush is comfortable to wear and will still leave your lips soft. This is a wearable pink shade for those who aren’t fond of the vibrant variations. Available on Zalora PH.
Inglot Lipstick Matte in 428
This lipstick promises “perfect opaque coverage” with just one swipe. Unlike Nicki’s Nude, this has a reddish tone to it. But it can still work as a nude shade for morenas. Available at SM Megamall.
BLK Cosmetics Velvet Lip Cream in Classy
Classy is a light coral pink shade with a shiny velvety finish. It protects and hydrates your lips thanks to its vitamin E and camelia oil-infused formula. Available at select Watson’s branches.
