What Do Models Wear When They Dress Themselves?

Why would a bunch of models shrug off a crazy payday Friday night that was cursed with strong rains? Simple: It was the 30th anniversary celebration of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP). The event brought together the different generations of models, from the pioneers who we still recognize and believe in today to the newcomers that promise the future of fashion.

Hosted by Joey Mead-King, the event was a reunion of each batch with dancing was fueled by an open bar and chocolate. It also gave members of the PMAP board a chance to express their gratitude and vision to everyone. Current president Raphael Kiefer, who stood out in a white Nono Palomos suit, could not believe what was happening last night. “It’s very surreal because it’s bigger than life. It’s multi-generational. I don’t know how I am at this point.” He also stated how the association is all the more challenged to grow bigger and surpass what it has achieved. “It’s important to elevate the level of the entire industry because there’s no real structure to it. We need to set a yardstick and stick to it.” The night wasn’t just for fun, though. It was also PMAP’s way of doing good as they were raising funds for the World Wildlife Fund.

Off the runway and not on-call for a photo shoot also meant we got a glimpse of them in their personal choices. Click on the slideshow above to see what the models wore and what their most iconic moments are in their career.
