Ice Cream, Pies, and Waffles: Pre-Halloween Treats You Should Try at Backyard Grill

Once the -ber months arrive, most people instantly go on Christmas mode. Yes, we see that parol hanging out your window. Some of you are probably starting to set up your tree too. That said, they also sometimes forget about another fun occasion: Halloween. It’s a week away and many are probably frantically looking up last-minute costume and makeup ideas.

But you know what I love about Halloween? The treats, of course. Good thing Backyard Grill by Southern Living happening on Oct. 22 has enough to prepare me for them. You can also say that this is a good pre-Halloween party for a cause since part of the food proceeds will go to the MBY Pet Rescue and Sanctuary. Plus, it’s a free whole-day event from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the cozy University Park, Ayala Alabang Village.

Want more convincing to spend your day at Backyard Grill? We’re listing down the Halloween-appropriate treats you’ll find there courtesy of the concessionaires. (Oh, and don’t forget to wear a costume!)

#2 Mini pies

Aside from their tasty ice cream, Carmen’s Best is also serving their butter pecan pie this Sunday. You can even add a scoop of ice cream on top if you’re an absolute sweet tooth.
