What’s So Special About Glossier’s First Fragrance?

Cult favorite brand Glossier is giving you one more reason to shuffle through your bank account. After their successful makeup products, they released their first fragrance Glossier You. But what will it smell like? Well, they have a unique way of describing it.

According to Glossier’s site, the fragrance contains base notes of ambrette, ambrox, and musk which “melt in your skin.” Meanwhile, top notes consist of iris root and pink pepper. Overall, Glossier You sounds like a subtle spicy scent, but the brand also points out that “the formula comes incomplete” since the real scent will come once you’ve sprayed it on your skin.

Glossier founder Emily Weiss also had this to say about the scent, “I don’t want to be taken to the Swiss Alps or the white sand beaches of Tahiti just by smelling this. I’ve been craving something that whispers instead of shouts. And that’s what You is.” Hmm, interesting.

The fragrance comes in a clear glass bottle (so you can see the millennial pink liquid) and bright red cap. It retails for $60 (around P3,086) and it’s already available on Glossier’s site. Go cop it, or ask someone in the US to get it for you, before it runs out!
