The transgender community can celebrate a major victory today as Ford Models, one of the most prestigious fashion talent agencies in the world, welcomes Andreja Pejic to its roster. She is the first transgender model to join the agency.
Andreja expressed her happiness over her Instagram account.
This development in Andreja’s life is a turnaround from her previous experience. Her previous agency dropped her when she came out as tansgender. Nevertheless, she continued on with a campaign with Make Up Forever, shows for Marc Jacobs and John Galliano, and a cover for GQ, the first transgender woman to front an issue for the magazine.
With this, expect Andreja to continue to break barriers in the fashion and media mainstream.
