Building one’s wardrobe these days can be a challenge. There are so many shops to choose from and trends coming off the runway left and right. It’s hard not to get sucked into making an impulse purchase but we thought we’d give you some tips. We went through Maris Racal’s Instagram feed and picked up some tips and inspiration to help you plan your wardrobe and upcoming outfits.
Add Some Color
If your wardrobe consists of black, white, and gray pieces, try adding some color. It can be a statement item that you can style different ways. Here, Maris wore a black long-sleeved top and black boots, paired with a colorful skirt. It was a blue and red garment with a printed design.
Try Trends
Chosen by her stylist, Maris isn’t afraid to wear new fashion trends. In this photo, she is wearing a cropped denim jacket and clear, open toe heels. If you’re unsure about trends, opt to buy a cheap alternative first to see if you really like it.
Ladylike
No matter your style, keep chic and classy picks in your closet. You never know when you’ll be invited to a formal event or fancy dinner. For this outfit, Maris went for a black pencil skirt, black crop top with layered tulle-like sleeves, and silver heels.
Fringe and Leather
Maris also mixes different elements and style in her outfits. In this one, for example, she went for a black skirt with fringe detail, and leather jacket, and a belt with a circular buckle. To complement these pieces she chose a black bag, white sneakers, and a nude top.
Lace-Up Details
In more than one occasion, Maris has rocked the lace-up trend from corset pants to lace-up jeans. You can make this the focal point of your outfit by pairing it with plain tops or go the edgy route by adding leather pieces and bold colors.
