This Top-Rated Brow Gel Is Out of the Market and Here’s Why

Updated on Nov. 2, 2017, 12:18 p.m.

Were you recently shopping for makeup (online or in-store) and can’t find your go-to Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel? It’s not out of stock, the product was recently recalled for “quality control.”

In a statement on Benefit’s site, they said that recent batches of the Gimme Brow gel “did not meet our stringent quality standards.” They also assured that when it’s applied on the brow, it doesn’t cause harm. However, the product may irritate the eyes when it comes into contact with them.

There’s no specific reason to what may have caused the recall. But Refinery29 noted that Benefit’s just being “safe than sorry.” But don’t worry because they won’t completely phase out the product. Benefit Philippines’ PR Executive Tasha Santos tells us, “We’re working very hard to bring new stocks into the market, especially since it’s one of most popular brow products. Right now, we’re exercising absolute caution to make sure we meet the company’s high quality standards. ”

What to do now? If you recently purchased the brow gel, you can return it to the Benefit store/counter where you bought it or email Sephora PH. You will get a full refund upon doing so.

There’s no exact date yet on when the Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel will be back in stores and online. For now, explore other products like these ones that Maxene Magalona uses.
