With just a few days away from the Miss Universe 2017 pageant in Las Vegas, we’re pretty sure the energy is as intense and palpable as ever. So we can only imagine what Rachel Peters felt when photos of her evening gown designed by Val Taguba were leaked online.
Rachel expressed her disappointment via Instagram Stories and even wondered what the intention was behind the leak. In the end, she assured all of us that it’s not about the dress that she will be wearing, but what’s important is that she’s kind and true to herself.
The evening gowns are usually kept a secret until the reveal onstage for that surprise element and in hindsight prevents others from copying or imitating the final look. But as Rachel mentioned, it doesn’t matter now. She’s going to represent the Philippines with the best of her abilities and we’re all cheering her on.
The questions is, will she be wearing the same gown that was leaked or will she change last minute? The Miss Universe 2017 pageant night will be held on Nov. 26.
