Which Boots Will Look Good With Your Pants?

Thanks to the holidays and the colder climate in some countries, boots are becoming a hot commodity again. But then again, it also feels like everyone was interested in several boot trends all year—from ankle styles to statement ones.

Of course, we all want to know the best way to wear boots, both here in Manila and abroad. Based on the OOTDs of influencers like Liz Uy, Nicole Andersson, and Laureen Uy, pairing pants with boots is the way to go.

We decided to make our own combinations so you don’t have to stress over it. Feel free to mix and match different patterns and colors, too.

Zara High-Rise Jeans with Faux Fur Cuffs + Dr. Martens Persephone Aunt Sally

The most basic rule of wearing ankle boots with jeans is to cuff the hems so you can show off your shoes. These jeans from Zara already have pre-folded hems, and made better with faux fur. It also has a mom jeans fit for extra comfort. Add height with the Persephone Aunt Sally boots from Dr. Martens, which has a chunky heel.

Zara. Available at Power Plant Mall.

Dr. Martens. Available at Two Parkade, Bonifacio Global City.

Alexander Wang Studded Checked Woven Leggings + Charles & Keith Pointed Ankle Boot Heels

Inspired by Liz Uy’s LA look, wear white ankle boots with your gray checkered or plaid pants. These pants are suitable for casual and semi-formal days. Make it daintier with these white ankle boots from Charles & Keith, which has a thin stiletto heel.

Alexander Wang. Available on Net-a-Porter.

Charles & Keith. Available at SM Megamall.

H&M Tailored Trousers in Black/Floral + Something Borrowed Contrast Ankle Boots

Wearing anything floral can be intimidating for some. If you’re someone who’s not into wearing loud colors, you can pair a neutral-colored top with these H&M trousers and black ankle boots. The trousers’ length also stops above the ankle, so it’s perfect for boots or any footwear you prefer.

H&M. Available at SM Makati.

Something Borrowed. Available on Zalora PH.

Mango Pleated Culotte Trousers + Miss Selfridge Dallas Tan Circle Wrap Boots

For that pop of color, choose this bright orange piece from Mango. These knee-length culottes are high-waisted and makes for a good match with light brown boots. Opt for a pair with heels like this Miss Selfridge one so your legs will look longer.

Mango. Available at Glorietta 2.

Miss Selfridge. Available at Greenbelt 5.

Murmur ‘Snap’ Trousers + Balenciaga Knife Spandex Thigh Boots

What’s the best way to wear snap-off pants? By pairing them with bold-colored boots. The Murmur ‘snap’ trousers has slits in front of the legs, creating an opening to flaunt your footwear. We suggest wearing these hot pink thigh-high Balenciaga boots. You can save this look for your trips abroad.

Murmur. Available on Farfetch.

Balenciaga. Available on Net-a-Porter.
