Model Michelle Dee has the off-duty look down to a tee

It’s not every day that you encounter the daughter of an iconic beauty queen. (Save for Isabelle Daza, of course.) When we spotted Michelle Dee at the 7th Philippine Fashion Ball, she could easily pass off as a beauty queen because of her beauty and tall stature. True enough, she’s the daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.

But Michelle isn’t training to be a beauty queen as far as we know. She’s currently working as a model, and snagged magazine features, endorsements, and walked in Bench Under the Stars. This is an indication that she’s one to watch, especially as a fashion icon.

On that note, we took a peek at Michelle’s go-to style picks and suggested pieces for you to cop as well. Check out and see if these might pique your interest.

Cap it off

Just like any model off-duty, Michelle likes wearing different caps. They keep her hair in place and probably protect her from the heat while she explores the city. One of her go-to caps is the biker style, which became a trendy pick among personalities like Kaia Gerber and Kiana Valenciano.

Layer up

Michelle can rock different cover-ups, from bomber jackets to polos. She even has a signature pose when she’s wearing one: expose one shoulder and smize to the camera.

Shop: Cotton On Cutesey 2 Button Through Cardigan. Available on Zalora PH.

Comfortable dresses matter

You can never go wrong with a shirt dress. Michelle knows this and goes for oversized shirts over shorts when she’s chilling with friends.

Shop: Zara Striped and Checked Shirt. Available at Power Plant Mall.

Navel-showing tops

Regardless if it’s going to the mall, the beach, or an event, Michelle has a crop top for every occasion. This also shows how versatile these pieces can be and not just used for casual days.

Shop: H&M Short Sleeveless Top. Available at SM Makati.

Mad for denim

Denim is a staple in everyone’s wardrobe, from pants to jackets. Not only did Michelle flaunt those, she also brought back a ’00s favorite: overalls. She paired this with a white sleeveless top and a polka-dotted scarf. But really, she can wear anything with this piece and it’ll still look put-together.

Shop: Pull and Bear Long Denim Dungarees. Available at SM Megamall.
