Working out isn’t enough, you also need to detox your body from the bad stuff. Allow us to help you out with this list of drink and food items you should consume starting now.
Cucumber
What it does: Cleanses the liver
Dr. Axe noted that this is one of the best drink ingredients for cleansing. Cucumbers are natural diuretics that help flush out bodily toxins for a healthy liver. Make a juice out of this or mix it with your usual green juice recipe.
Lemon
What it does: Rejuvenates skin
Sleeping late can take a toll on your skin, making you look prominently exhausted. In order to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy, do a lemon water cleanse. Aside from ridding you of toxins, the vitamin C in the lemon helps protect the skin from premature aging. This also neutralizes free radicals and defends your body from environmental toxins.
Vegetables
What it does: Stimulate immune system
Since you’re going back to the office soon, you wouldn’t want to get sick before or during the work week. So start detoxing by incorporating more veggies into your meals. Very Well notes that various vegetables are rich in phytochemicals, which is a natural chemical. This is known “to regulate hormones, stimulate the immune system, and prevent damage to our body’s cells.”

Here’s your excuse to snack on strawberries at home and at work. These berries have anti-inflammatory properties that provide the proper nutrition for to eliminate bodily toxins. Aside from that, strawberries can also regulate your digestive patterns and your body’s pH balance.
Turmeric tea
What it does: Cleanses liver and breaks down fat
We mentioned before the benefits of turmeric to our body. But in case you didn’t know yet, this is an effective detoxifying agent. It’s known to cleanse the liver, and eventually break down fat which holds toxins that need to be flushed out. Natural Society also adds that this can help prevent internal blood clotting. The best part is that you can add this spice on practically any dish or drink, and you’ll still get the same perks.
Apple cider vinegar
What it does: Cleans out digestive system
Thanks to its enzymes and acidic nature, apple cider vinegar can help with digestive problems which are side effects of other detox diets. You can say ACV is a preventive measure in case other detoxes don’t work just as well with you. You can simply have a tablespoon of it mixed with water every morning or incorporate it in your daily recipes.
