Paris Men’s Fashion Week Clothes We Want to Wear

Paris Men’s Fashion Week has been taking over my social media feeds lately. Brands are sharing backstage moments while others show the looks that walk the runway. There even some accounts like Highsnobiety and Diet Prada sharing their thoughts on the collections. While looking at the photos and videos I found myself wanting to own some of the clothes like long coats and accessories. To give you an idea of what the collections were like, here are some of the pieces we would wear from these menswear looks.

During Kim Jones’ last show as Louis Vuitton’s artistic director for menswear, he went all out. The collection was composed of patchwork leggings, long coats, and metallic materials. We would wear many of the clothes shown but one that stood out was a bomber jacket. It was a light blue metallic jacket that looked so shiny on the runway.

Dries Van Noten’s show was an interesting display as well. According to Vogue, the looks consisted of “British menswear tartans and checks; lots of hybrids; the floral, embellished embroideries the designer has always sourced from India.” Among the trousers seen on the runway, this yellow and black pair is one we would rock. We imagine it paired with a white top, leather jacket, and boots.

Acne sweater

We’re all about comfy sweaters so this one from Acne is on our wish list. The color palette is even in line with Gen Z yellow. We would wear this to work, the movies, or even dress it up during date night with a skirt and heels.

Comme des Garçons shorts

Rei Kawakubo’s menswear collection showed two different aesthetics. The looks in the beginning featured dinosaur prints and cartoon prints while the others were all-white outfits. These white shorts are a little on the long side but if styled right, it could be a look. Maybe worn on casual days hinging on the athleisure vibe.

Pigalle backpack

Aside from the clothes, there were also accessories we would love to cop. One being this backpack from Pigalle. This is an ideal bag to carry to work or even when traveling. The bag itself is black but the colorful straps will add a vibrant touch to any ensemble.

Button up shirts can be very versatile. You can dress them up with tailored trousers and pumps. Or pair them with shirts and sneakers when you’re off to lunch. You can even wear them to the beach, layered over your favorite swimsuit. Take inspiration from this model and throw it over a turtleneck top.

Sacai jeans

If you don’t already own a staple pair of jeans, let this pair from Sacai push you to get one. However, they aren’t your standard blue denim. It’s a dark gray shade with a lighter wash in the center. They also aren’t skinny fit so they’ll be more comfortable too.
